Abondance
Lafalaise Dion

This idea of abundace> culminates in Lafalaise Dion’s photograph, Abondance, which shows a woman embodying the strength of self - sufficiency, and challenges the belief that abundance comes from external sources. Much like the women protesting in Kenya, Dion’s figure symbolises the idea that true strength comes from within. By prioritising her own empowerment, she not only nurtures her own spirit but also strengthens her ability to engage with and uplift her community. The sacred space she inhabits reflects the boundless strength and love that reside within her. As she embraces her self - sufficiency, she becomes a powerful symbol of inner wealth, embodying the principle of “me first, then we.” This interconnectedness reinforces the idea that individual well - being is crucial for forming resilient communities
