Alice Kanengoni


Alice Kanengoni (South Africa) is an African Feminist with a passion for contributing towards gender justice and women’s rights and supporting people’s journeys of growth in the world. She has a track record of contributing to African feminist praxis on the African continent; having worked for over 25 years supporting social justice, feminist and women’s rights movements.

She has used feminist and intersectional lenses in a diverse range of spaces and platforms including shaping and leading advocacy; philanthropy and grant-making; research and knowledge generation; facilitation, agency-building, and resilience-building; coaching and mentoring (mostly on the African continent, particularly southern Africa).

She currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Southern Africa Trust, an African organization concerned about social justice. Alice Kanengoni has previously led teams responsible for strategy, gender and women’s rights programme design and execution, partnership building, accountability, and learning.
